A division bench of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) conducted hearing int
o appeals filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) against former prime minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday.
The NAB requested the
court to extend jail term of Nawaz Sharif in Al-Azizia referenc
e from seven years and also challenged acquittal of the former prime minister in the Flagship Investments reference.
A two-member bench c
omprising Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiani heard the case. Khawaja Harris appeared before the
court o
n behalf of the former prime minister.
During the proceedings, the
court asked Harris if he would receive a notice issued by the
court on NAB appeals. He responded that he could comment after going through the notice. The hearing was later adjourned for three weeks.
